Full of Fruits and Delicious Nutrients!
The strawberry margarita flavor in this smoothie comes from the juice of half a lime (or 1 key lime), half an orange, and frozen strawberries. However, these three fruits not only make the great flavor of this smoothie, they are also packed with antioxidants andvitamins (Vitamin C especially), and they turn this smoothie into an immune-booster at the same time. If you also have a family, you can relate when I say that I will do most anything to stay healthy.
I am a huge fan of tart, citrus flavors, so I only added one tablespoon of honey as sweetener. You can always add more honey to taste if the citrus kick is too strong for you or if you prefer sweeter smoothies in general.
In addition, this breakfast smoothie is also a great source of protein and fiber due to the greek yogurt and oats in it. The oats make the smoothie thick and creamy. Quick or instant oats will easily blend into a smooth consistency. Plus, they are a hearty, natural foodsource.

This looks really good! I'm thinking I have to try it, then maybe save some for after work and add some tequila. I know you're pregant though, so when I get round to this I'll tell you if it works.

Haha, do let me know if you try it Janine. It sounds a little weird with the oats and yogurt in this smoothie. But who know, sometimes those are the best things 🙂
